khandicexoxo asked: Hey Amber! It's me, Khandice, and I found your blog about angles. I'm having some trouble with this topic in school, but mostly with figuring out how to find the measures of the angles. Can you give me an example of how to find the angle measures when you are given an expression for two of the angles that are opposite each other? Can you also fill me in on some terminology involving angles? Thank you so much.
Hey Khandice! It’s so nice to hear from you. I attached a document that explains everything carefully. I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Amber :D

Corresponding angles are angles that have the same measure. They are on the same side of the transversal, but lie on different parallels.
Angles 5 and 6 are alternate interior angles and angles 7 and 8 are also alternate interior angles. The measures of these angles are also always equal to each other.
Vertical angles are angles that are opposite each other when two lines cross. The measures are always equal to each other. Based on this picture, the angle with the question mark is vertical to the angle that equals 70 degrees. Due to the fact that these are vertical to each other, the angle with the question mark will also equal 70 degrees.
